This is the end

This is gonna be the last post of my first blog, is incredible how this semester has past, flying!

Of all of the post that we have to write, the one that I like the most was "a journey" because it made me remember every detail of a great trip, maybe the best one, to an amazing place.

On the other side, it was a little more difficult for me to write about a place to eating out, because I don´t go very often to eat out of my house, less to the same place more than once, so I finally wrote about an icecream store.

I love the post about a movie, it was hard for me to chose a movie, only one movie to talk about, because ther are so many that I would love to recomend. I did not only enjoyed to  write it, but I also enjoyed reading my classmates´s post, because every post added a new movie to my movies list to watch. I specially enjoyed reading, Felipe and Bastian´s blogs, maybe because they have different preferences and taste than me, their posts were more interesting to me.

I find atractive the Natalia´s blog because of the total design and I like a lot the watercolor background image from the Constanza´s blog, it is beautifull.

I think I did not dislike anything of these new experience of the blog writting, because it helps me a lot to practice and improve in theenglish learning, exercising the spelling and I enjoyed doing it.

Goodbye everyone, have a good year end and a better new one!
enjoy the holidays!

Fubiz

Few years ago I started to use"Reader" from google apps, a virtual place where you can save your favorites blogs and websites and look up for new ones according to your preferences. That´s how I found a lot of good websites and blogs,  like Fubiz (www.fubiz.net) a website that I always remember and visit once in awhile. It´s  a french site, but you can chose between french and english language.
I like a lot the great variety of high quality images and videos that they share on the site, about genial inventions, ideas, art, music, incredible places, design, photography, arquitecture, cinema, etc.

On the site you can revise the archives from the 2005 organized by years, or go to "galleries" and search images by categories: photography, advertising, print, typography, street art, product design, architecture and fashion. In the home page you can see the latest post or also search by categories, like animation, design, graphic, inspiration, interactive, motion, music, print and technology.

If you enjoy watching good and creative audiovisuals contents on a organized and well design web platform, you will enjoy this website.

Judith

This painting is called Judith and it was painted by the austrian symbolist painter Gustav Klimt. This is a symbol of the "femme fatale" the manipulative woman, her power is her beauty and sensuality.

With a couple of friends, I had to reproduce this painting at the school, and that was the first time I saw it. Obviously we didn´t even got closer to the original, but we made the attempt. That work obligated me to observe more carefully the little details of the painting.  Their gold paint applications, Then it started to like me.

Another painting that I like a lot is one of the impresionist Claude Monet, Le Bassin aux nymphéas, harmonie verte (The Waterlily Pond, green harmony). The last days of his life, while his sight was getting worst because of the cataracts, he made a serie of paintings of his own garden, where he had a beautiful estanque full of nenufares and crossed by a lovely japanesse bridge, wich is portrayed on this painting. I like the atmosphere of his paintings, join with the colours that he chose.

Hombre mirando al sudeste / Man facing southeast

The last movie I watch was "Hombre mirando al sudeste", an old drama/fiction science argentine movie (from the 1986). The movie is about Rantes (the actor Hugo Soto) a men that went voluntary to a psychiatric hospital saying that he was sended from other planet to study the human stupidity. The dr. Julio Denis (the actor Lorenzo Quinteros) from the hospital get interested on him and start to doubt about his own mental health.

I watch it in my house download from internet and I enjoyed it because it make me think about the facility of the human race to name somebody crazy, because we don´t understand him or because we don´t believe wath he said. That´s not exactly the theme of the movie but it makes me think about it.

The movie also have some humor, a different humor from the chilean, that made me laugh too. I recomend it, this movie don´t have the biggest latest effects or a good image quality but I think you will enjoy it.

Radiohead

My first and greatest concert was the one that Radiohead made in the National Stadium of Santiago in 2009, it is a big place for a concert and it was so full of people. There was a big stage, with big led lights screens, and led tubes placed in vertical position that change and move his colours all over his long. It´s looks so beautifull.

I knew about this concert because of my older brother, who knows that I like Radiohead a lot and he likes it too. Indeed he was who made all of the moves to give me the tickets with the rest of my family as my birthday present, it was so exciting when they gave me the package, I had my suspicions, but I wasn´t sure.

I came to gig with a friend, my brother found out if a friend of mine will go to the concert, so he buy the tikets for the same day, he had bought his ticket for the day before, and they were agotadas, so I couldn´t go with him.
First plays the support act, that was an electronic germany band, I can´t remember the name, and finally came Thom Yorke and his band to play. My friend and I walk into the front part, the nearest we can be from the stage to see the most we could and we could resist being crushed a few minutes before returning to the back. On the back part, we could move freely and enjoy more, but we couldn´t see a lot.

I enjoyed it very much, first because it was my first gig and second because they are really good musicians and they sound amazing in live shows. It´s so exciting to have so near a band of that level and listen to them so louder that you can feel the sound´s vibration in all of your body.

Eating out

I like to go out to eat, but I prefer buy yummy things and eat it at home, watching a movie or something like that. When I go out to eat don´t use to repeat the same place, except when I want to take a good icecream, I love to go at Yogen Früz, there are many stores to go in Santiago. Yogen Früz is speciallized on natural icecreams. They make the best mixture of fruit and frozen yogurt that I have tasted.

When you go there you have to choose one, two or three fruits (depends of the icecream size) of the variety that they have, for example melon, pineaple, mango, lúcuma, chestnuts and berries and if you want it on a cone or a glass. Then you choose a base of frozen yogurt or frozen manjar, and if you want to add sugar or not. And finally if you want chocolate cover. They mix the fruits and the base in a big machine and put it on the cone or glass.

The first time I went there was with a friend who know it and I didn´t knew that they mix all the fruits so I chose any fruit, don´t remember wich one and a chocolate cover.

I go there about one or maybe two times a month. I like the brerries mix, like raspberries and blueberries, or the mix of pineapple with mango. I like to prove new mix everytime I go. The last time I went to a Yogen Fruz was the first and only time that I have gone to the new  Costanera Center, about 3 weeks ago. I ask for a chestnut and lúcuma icecream with manjar base, it was delicious! I recomend it, it´s not the cheapest one, but is really good and natural.

I would like to learn...

I would like to learn to speak a lot of languajes, like french, german, italian and chinesse. I would love to travel and can comunicate with everyone as easyer as I do in my own country. I think that nothing is like knowing a languaje and understand it on your own, because only that way you can get the escence of the comunication. On the other side when someone or something translate a textfor you, for example, always something is missing o the road. Also I think that the languaje is a very close way to know more about a society and it culture.

I would start learning  french, I love the pronunciation and the sound of the words. I think it is a very beautiful languaje, and I want to travel to France some day and if it happens I would like to do it the best way, learning the local languaje from the inside, with the authentical speakers..

I think it woul be difficult for me to spell, because it is a complex languaje and very diferent to the english and spanish, wich are the languaje that I know by now, of course english not so well as spanish. In english, every word must be pronunciated different as it writes but with a very different way to spell than the french, most elegant and soft, also romantic from my point of vew.

If I travel someday to Europe as I wich, I will surely visit France, and knowing the languaje will makes me feel free to comunicate any way I want, and read everything understanding what it really mean.

Italy

I would love to go to Italy, and visit every place, especially La Toscana and Roma.La Toscana is a region placed on the nor-west of italy, the region capital is Florencia.

The first time I heard about La Toscana was because of a movie, "Under the Tuscan sun" and I amazed by the landscapes that appeared in it. Then I saw more pictures of it places and the clasic roman arquitecture that survives on it.

I would love to walk arroun the giant Duomo of the Santa María del Fiore cathedral of Florencia. Can you believe that this wonderful dome is 45.5 meters outside diameter? and that the highest point of it is 100 feet high from the ground?
I imagine myself walking down these roads, as taken from a tale or a fantasy movie, don´t you think?
I would also like to know the island of Sicily and being in Italy, I would not miss the opportunity to tour Europe as much as possible. This trip would take at least 2 years.

When I was a little child

This photo were taken in my house of Colina, I lived there since a was 2 years old until I was 17. All my childhood memories are in this home. I really like it and enjoyed it a lot when I was living there.

In the photograph appears two of my brothers (the both are at the right, Agustín is sitting at my side and the other is Simón at his back walking to where we were sitting) , two friends (at the left, I can´t remember their names, they were sons of friend of my parents) and me in the middle in a pink swimwear with black polka dots.

I dont know who took this picture, I guess it was my father, I was about 4 years old, so my brother Agustín was 6 or 7 years old and Simón, my elder brother was about 9 years.

I find it really beautifull and cute and it´s fun that it seems like we were talking about life as adults instead of be running and playing like kids.
This house inevitably bring me a lots of memories and this picture helps me to remember how that place looks when I was that little, because I usually remember as it was when we left in 2008 and it has really changed from that time until now. Some times I miss living there, and have all that tranquility and that big space.

La Junta, Cochamó / February 2012

Last summer I traveled to the camping La Junta, Cochamó with three friends and my boyfriend. We take a bus from Santiago to Puerto Montt, took 14 hours and then we traveled about 4 hours on another bus to get to Cochamó.

Cochamó is a small location in southern Chile bordering Argentina, east of the Estuario de Reloncaví. From there after about four to six hours trekking to the Andes Mountains, always next to Cochamó river, you arrive at camping La Junta.

The thing is that we were so unprepared both physically and in equipment, everybody exept my boyfriend (the poor had to wait for us all the time), that it took us 9 hours to get up, to La Junta. I did the trekking with a backpack of 20k, the men carried even more heavy backpacks. The day we went up was sunny, but the road was all muddy because of the rain of the previous days. It was really hard for me, I think I never have been so tired and distressed, felt that the road will never end.

The last stretch of the road we had to do it at night and on arrival look for a place to place the tents. I was completely destroyed, I really hurt my back and feet, I did not want to take one more step. We install the tents and I changed all my clothes, which was largely wet and muddy. I didn´t even ate that night, once lying and being warm into my sleeping bag, I did not want to move again.

Only the next day when i woke up and get out of the tent, I came to realize the amazing place where we were camping, it's so beautiful, all surrounded by green hills with granite counter tops. The air is so clean (santiaguinos notice it immediately) and the water is exquisite, I can´t describe it. So at the end I can say that the hard road to La Junta really worth it. We stay there a few days until the weather became very bad, it rained non-stop all day, so we decided to go down before it became worse.

We stay there a few days until the weather became very bad, it rained non-stop all day, so we decided to go down before it became worse. We soaked down the road, the river had risen and had to cross it on foot in several parts. The tents were wet whole, so that night stayed at the "Hostal Maura" in Cochamó, the owner felt sorry for us and let us enter the sauna and then a outdoor hot tub was so nice, especially at this time.

It was a trip that I will never forget, until now is the best I remember! I still not believe that I could get there hahaha the difficulty made it much more amazing. I really recomend it!

About music

I like a lot of diferent artist and music kind, I don´t realy have a favorite song or band at the moment, i like to change, and hear a big variety of music styles.
I like from Babasonicos to Led Zeppelin, going through The Rolling Stones, The Strokes, Feist, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Violeta Parra, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Bersuit Vergarabat, Alanis Morissette, The Doors, Los Tres, The beatles, Jose Gonzalez and so much more!
This is the one i like more of Led Zeppelin,  D´yer Maker.

Right now i remember a song that i have always like, it´s "Take a walk on the wild side" by Lou Reed, the first time i heard it was on the car radio, while i was going to the school with my brothers and sister, and since that moment i just love it, because of his voice, the rhythms, only years later i came to understand the meaning hahaha.
Something by The Beatles. I like realy much this song too, i love what it says. I like a lot of the beatles´s songs they have so much, but this one specially like´s me.
And this one always make me laugh: I believe in a thing call love, the way that the vocalist dress himself, an the way that he moves and sing, it´s so original and unique.
I hope you like it and you can tell me what kind of music do you like!
